Circuit Judges Appoint Martin J. Mengarelli an Associate Judge

On behalf of the Circuit Judges of the Third Judicial Circuit, Third Circuit Chief Judge David A. Hylla announces the appointment of Martin J. Mengarelli as an Associate Judge to replace Keith Jensen, who resigned effective August 31, 2014.

Martin Mengarelli earned his Law Degree from Northern Illinois University in 1993.   Mr. Mengarelli has been an Associate with The Simmons Firm since 2009. He was previously a Partner with Andrews & Mengarelli from 2003- 2009, an Associate with Hopkins Goldenberg from 2001-2003, and an Associate with Morris B. Chapman and Associates from 1993-2001.

Mr. Mengarelli is a current member and past President of the Tri City Bar Association. He is a current member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Madison County Bar Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Missouri Bar Association, Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, Wisconsin Bar Association and American Association of Justice.Mr. Mengarelli served in the U.S. Army from 1985-1987. Mr. Mengarelli has assisted military veterans with disability claims and other legal matters pro bono.

Mr. Mengarelli has served as House Captain for Rebuilding Together in Madison County 2000-2010, served as a board member and Director of the SEF Charitable Foundation 2009-2013, and also volunteered delivering Meals on Wheels for Senior Services Plus 2004-2009.

Mr. Mengarelli is married to Laura Andrews, a practicing attorney in Madison County. Martin and Laura live in Maryville. Their daughter, Maria, is a freshman at the University of Missouri.
