Homeless Programs

Madison County offers several programs to assist the homeless to include its Continuum of Care and Rapid Rehousing Program.

NOFO  

NEW HOME ARP Non-Congregate Shelter Notice of Funding Opportunity

Madison County Community Development is issuing a new NOFO for a non-congregate homeless shelter which will replace the prior NOFO under which no award was approved. 

The funding amount is $2,500,000.00.  Letters of Intent to apply are due no later than July 15, 2024, at 4:00pm, with an application deadline of December 16, 2024, no later than 4:00pm.

Rapid Rehousing  

Rapid Rehousing

The Madison County Rapid Re-Housing Program (RRH) provides subsidized rental housing and utilizes MCCD’s case management support for homeless people/families for a two-year period to become self-sufficient.

Continuim of Care  

Project Homeless Connect and Continuum of Care (CoC)

The CoC Program, which is managed by Housing and Urban Development (HUD). is designed to promote communitywide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness by providing funding for efforts by nonprofit providers and State and local governments and promoting access to and effect utilization of mainstream programs by homeless individuals and families.
