Building Blocks - Soft Skills Video

Soft skills are personality traits and behaviors that will help candidates get hired and succeed in their work. These skills are abilities that relate to how you work and how you interact with other people.

Employers look for soft skills in candidates because these skills are hard to teach and are important for long-term success. Unlike technical skills or “hard” skills, soft skills are interpersonal and behavioral skills that help you work well with other people and develop your career. Popular soft skills include communication, teamwork and other interpersonal skills.

In this video, you will see local employers discuss soft skills and how they increase and maintain your employability in the workforce.
