About Madison County MRC Unit:

Madison County Health Department seeks individuals from all occupations and/or backgrounds including non-medical occupations to volunteer for the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC).  In the event of any emergency or any type of public health disaster, Madison County Health Department has been designated as the agency to provide available medications to the public to prevent disease.  MRC volunteers will assist in most areas of Point of Dispensing (POD) operations including but not limited to distribution, dispensing available medication, restocking supplies, crowd control, clerical duties, and education.

In addition to being ready to respond in an emergency, MRC volunteers may also engage in opportunities to promote emergency preparedness and other health and wellness initiatives in the community.
