The Juvenile Detention Home is a 49 bed facility utilized as the County's temporary placement center for juveniles awaiting court decisions on their cases. The correctional officers work mainly at this facility. The main functions of this facility include:
- Provision of teaching services for continuing education while juveniles are housed in the facility as well as internal and community recreational opportunities for the juveniles.
- Provision of counseling and social services activities relative to the individual cases.
- Ensuring all students practice healthy eating and physical activity behaviors throughout the school day, the Detention Wellness Policy is adopted.
