Dear Madison County Resident:
The Madison County Recorder, Debbie Ming-Mendoza, welcomes you to our website.
The primary responsibility of the Recorder’s Office is to record, index and maintain all documents transferring land in Madison County. Our land record, which begins in 1812, establishes legal ownership to land and protects landholder’s rights. In addition to documents related to land such as deeds, mortgages, liens, trusts, and easements, we also record (DD-214) discharge documents for our veterans, as well as out of county birth certificates and marriage licenses. Because our record is more than 200 years old, there exists a wealth of information for historians and genealogists.
The extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff of the Recorder’s office are committed to providing you with the highest quality customer service. We take pride in running an efficient, detail-oriented office and understand the importance of getting your documents on record as quickly and accurately as possible.
We are here to help! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 618-296-4475 or by email at email@example.com. It is our pleasure to serve and represent Madison County.
