Effective January 1, 2022, under garments, and thermal underwear, or "whites" as they are commonly referred to, will only be available to detainees through the Madison County Jail Commissary provider Keefe. Detainees will be able to purchase those items the 4th week of every month.
The Madison County Jail WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT ACCEPT WHITES IN THE LOBBY OF THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE NOR WILL THEY BE ACCEPTED BY WAY OF DELIVERY.

Each Detainee is allowed up to (5) each of the following property items.
Male Detainees:
- 5 White boxer or briefs (plain white)
- 5 white t-shirts (plain white)
- 5 white or off white long johns (plain)
Female Detainees:
- 5 white boxer or underwear
- 5 white t-shirts
- 5 white bras (no under wire)
- 5 white or off white long johns
NOTE: All clothing must be marked with the Detainees first and last name and Sheriff ID # in black permanent marker. There are no socks allowed in this facility unless approved by the Medical Staff.
The only way a detainee can receive new whites once they have attained their limit is to exchange items to a 1:1 ratio with our jail staff. Exchanged items will either be destroyed or placed in the detainee's property locker upon their request.
MONEY:
Money may be submitted in the lobby kiosk at the Sheriff's Office during normal business hours (Monday-Friday 8am-4pm) or during a scheduled visit. Use the following link, for directions on how to use the lobby kiosk. Directions for lobby kiosk in English and Espanol.
You may also visit www.accesscorrections.com and leave money on a detainee account. No cash or money orders will be accepted by Jail staff at any time. All cash or money orders sent to the detainee through the mail will be returned to sender. The maximum amount of money a detainee can have on the account is $1,500.00.
