Elder Justice Task Force

Madison County SAO has taken a zero-tolerance approach to help curb crimes against the elderly. Through our Elder Justice Task Force, comprised of two dedicated prosecutors, our office can more effectively prosecute such crimes against the older population of Madison County.

Specifically, the Elder Abuse Division Focuses on:

  • Abuse and Criminal Neglect
  • Financial Exploitation
  • Money Laundering
  • Aggravated Home Repair Fraud
  • Aggravated Battery
  • Forgery
  • Theft
  • Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse
Certain criminal offenses provide enhanced charges and penalties based upon the age of the victim.

For more information, contact the office at (618) 692-6280 or SAinfo@madisoncountyil.gov   To learn about how our office assists victims/witnesses of crimes, visit our Victim/Witness section of the website.
