Prior to serving on the board, he served as a Wood River Township trustee for more than 5 years. His goals as a board member is to keep the property tax levy flat and be fiscally responsible with taxpayer’s money.
Robert said one of his proudest moments while serving as a Wood River Township trustee was that he helped to get $8 million in taxes from the Wood River Township Hospital repaid to taxpayers.
He currently serves on various committees to include Finance, Government Operations and Education, Health Department and Mental Health and Judiciary. He also serves as the chair of the county’s Stormwater Commission, as well as shows support for the Madison County Child Advocacy Center.
Robert owned Pollard Prairie Farms Distributing for 10 years before going to work in sales management, which he's done for the past 27 years.
He and his wife, Kristi, live in East Alton.
