District 16

Voters elected Robert “Bob” Meyer in November 2022 to represent District 16 on the County Board. He serves residents in the Granite City area.

Bob is a fourth generation farmer and lives on his family’s farm and where he’s spent his entire life. He also works alongside his son, Neil, who is the fifth generation to go into the family business.

Bob serves on Finance, Government Operations and Education, Public Safety and Sewer Facilities committees. He also serves on County Farmland Assessment Review Committee.

Bob ran for county board because he believes the public has the right to make policy choices through the referendum process.

Bob enjoys spending time with his family. He especially loves date nights with his wife Terri, who he’s spent the past 45 years. He likes “jammin’” to tunes with his son, Greg, and trivia nights with his daughter, Kelly.

He especially enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, who “light up his world” as they love tractor rides with their “papa.”

Bob is always open to hearing from constituents in the county, so if you want to “share a cup of coffee,” give him a call and share your thoughts.
