District 20

Denise Wiehardt represents residents in District 20 in Granite City. She first took office in 2020 and was re-elected in 2022.

Her goals a board member are to represent her district, making it more viable for residents. Denise serves as chair of the Grants committee, as well as sits on the Executive, Government Relations and Sewer Facilities committees.

Denise earned her both her Bachelor of Arts in psychology and Master or Arts in professional counseling from McKendree University.  For the past 27 years, she’s been an advocate for children and families and during the [past 15 she’s worked for Saint Louis Crisis Nursery as the senior regional program manager.

The Granite City native is also a member and secretary of the VFW Auxiliary Post 1300 in Granite City, as well as a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Granite City. She is the mother of two daughters.
