As one of her goals in serving her constituents Valerie tries to attend the Village of Godfrey Board meetings and Alton City Council meetings so she can get a better understanding of her district and what is taking place in each of the communities. She is steadfast in keeping county taxes low, defending the Second Amendment and making sure there is transparency in government.
She serves on the Public Safety, Grants and Personnel and Labor Relations committees.
For the past 34 years, Valerie has worked as an educator with the Alton School District.
She earned her bachelors of arts from Eastern Illinois University and her master’s in education from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She received her specialist degree from Rockford University.
Valerie was born and raised in Alton, and currently resides in Godfrey. She is a mother of three daughters and two granddaughters.
